TRANSLATOR đź“ť WEEK 3

Hello again, It’s BelĂ©n, this week's translator,(apart from one of the stars🎤✨)  and I'm going to summarise this week's 5 key ideas for our task number 3.

First of all, I have to mention that TACCLE 2 has been the starting point of this activity, without it we could not have chosen the idea, it is a book for primary education that collects different activities to do in class with the use of technology, a very useful way to get inspired.

Next thing we have worked with is PECHA KUCHA, which has been a real discovery. it helps to make concise presentations with only 20 slides of 20 seconds each one, (20x20) a way of explaining the content without boring the viewer.

Once we got into the activity we remembered the importance of the framework, BLOOM´S TAXONOMY, being able to classify which parts of the pyramid the activity refers to

and to see precisely what knowledge the students could acquire with the chosen task.

During this activity, I believe that ETHICAL PROBLEMS should be highlighted, but not as something negative, but as something to take into account when carrying out any classroom activity, an essential part of education that perhaps we had not thought about it before and surely, we will bear in mind.

Finally, I think it is important to highlight the TECHNIQUE and the FORMAT, of course it was an activity to involve technology but there were a thousand ways to introduce it, and in doing so, we could cover other subjects which also help children to improve.

After the presentation and the feedback received, the weakness of this activity would be that children under 15 years old cannot make an online account and we, as future teachers, should leave all this work done when we are carrying out the activity, taking into account the age of the pupil also when establishing the level of difficulty.

To conclude, the aspects that need to be made explicit in order to achieve best implementation is the difference between tool and methodology as they are often confusing and misleading terms.

We must be careful for the future!
